There are over 120 types of the Human Papillomavirus (or HPV). Five of those are associated with oral cancer. A John Hopkins Study reports that 38% of oral squamous cell cancers are HPV related. There is no cure but a healthy immune system can clear most types within 2 years. Early detection is key and with our simple rinse and spit test we not only tell you if you have HPV but also which type. Knowing your risks of oral cancer is very important as 66% of reported cases are already in stage 3 or 4 of the disease. Today, people who use tobacco, alcohol and are over 4o years of age are not the only ones affected anymore. With the rising epidemic of HPV, oral cancer is not only for the older. People ages 18-40 are all at risk. It is also important to know that HPV is not only a sexual transmitted disease.

-Saliva: Mouth-to-mouth (open mouth kssing)

-Unwashed hands (John Hopkins study)

-Multiple sex partners.

After the earthquake that devastated Haiti, EPC and AFM have adopted the city of Jacmel, 50 miles south of Port-au0Prince. The Church and AFM are supplying food but would like your help in feeding the babies. A 40 ft. container will be filled and shipped in two weeks to the city where we have contacts with missions on the ground, the Mayor and police to distribute and protect these supplies.
